I recently spent a marvelous few days on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Many autumn weekends of my childhood were spent there, but it’s been years since I made it up to the area to see the fall colors. While I’ve certainly missed New York City lately, pristine and simple wonders — like those captured below — remind me that I live a short drive from an equally remarkable world.
